Established in 2006 we also have a history of providing alternative energy solutions for our customers including off-grid, hydro and generators, alongside a wholesale distribution side of the business. We are a SEANZ member and authorised provider, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions to our clients. We are currently looking for an Office Manager, who will also support our sales and business development process, to join our team. If you’re interested, please read on!

Role overview: As the Office and Sales Support Manager, you will have a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Nelson office reporting to the General Manager (GM) of Nelson who runs the day-to-day aspects of business. This role will be varied and interesting from one day to the next and will form a key link between install and sales but also provide office based support to the broader team.

Key responsibilities

Office management responsibilities

  • First line customer contact and support – Manage first contact with new customers and support existing customers including in-bound calls, walk-in and email correspondence.
  • Installation support – assist with the scheduling of installations, work plan management and other support functions as required.
  • Customer support – Co-ordinate and support customer communication from initial contact through the entire customer journey to ongoing support – escalate as required.
  • Finance -support preparing and sending invoices as well as managing and inputting into Xero and Unleased, our inventory system.
  • General administration – support to ensure efficient and professional day to day management of the business.

Sales, marketing and business development responsibilities:

  • Marketing activities – supporting marketing execution including social media content and campaign execution
  • Sales and business development support – booking appointments, follow ups and undertaking other back office functions to support sales and business development activity
  • General support – provide general support to the sales, marketing and business development process as required to help grow the business.

Experience and requirements

We are looking for a person that can support taking the business to the next stage of its journey and ensure that the GM maximises their time working on high value tasks and growing the business.

There are regular challenges and a high level of problem solving and understanding of the broader business is key. You will need to have the desire to learn but also have the confidence to know your limits and the judgement to seek guidance when required.

Other requirements that will help you be successful in this role are:

  • Proven track record of strong organisational and communication skills while juggling many balls
  • High quality standards, particularly valuing accuracy and tenacity
  • Experience dealing with a range of end customer types with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work independently but also as part of a team, driving a structured approach with a focus on seeking constant gains
  • Confidence using digital tools and social media platforms
  • Hungry to learn about the renewable energy and continuously improve the way we work

Some experience in marketing would be preferred but not essential
